OMG I am old. This brings back memories of raising my children with Mr. Rogers. His legacy is Daniel Tiger, and my daughter likely feels this way raising my granddaughter. What an amazing gift to struggling parents and children alike. Bless you Mr. Rogers; Ugga Mugga Daniel Tiger.
We love Daniel Tiger in this house, and we sing the songs endlessly. They were helpful with potty training with my oldest, calming down when angry, etc. Now with two—ages 4 and 2—who are playing together more and more (and thus fighting more and more) they have been so useful in helping them calmly work through these situations. (“If there’s a problem, think about it and make a plan,” was a big one last week!)
Hah. My son is 10 and I will still sometimes find myself saying "Flush, and wash and be on your way." I remember it felt almost preternatural how an episode of Danial Tiger would pop up right as we needed it. And as a kid who grew up on Mr. Rodgers there was something so soothing about it.
Yes it was in the months leading up to and then right after having my second child that our household fell in complete love with Daniel Tiger. The songs are endlessly helpful for introducing new concepts and the episodes where Mom has baby Margaret were SO so helpful in preparing my oldest with the reality of a second kiddo taking up Mom and Dad's time. We STILL sing the you gotta try new food song to my now 8 year old! The family trip "movie" is great if you haven't watched it! We start every family road trip with the soundtrack haha!
I feel a little silly admitting this, but I sobbed my way through this. DT has been there for us through so many firsts, giving my daughter the confidence and preparation to face doctor’s appointments, her first day of school, her first haircut, and more. We’ll be forever grateful to this show. Special shout out to “before you take something away, ask if it’s okay!”

We haven't watched it yet!! Will add to the list! :)
This was my journey too. Daniel was so helpful to us that I felt lied to about screen time which I’m still a bit irked about to be honest.
Yes, I something think we've gone too far on the side of "all screen time is bad"--it can have so many benefits!

Love this!
Thanks Crosby!
😭 so good and also AGREED on the pants…my kids have asked for years about that discrepancy. 🤷♀️
Right?! It doesn't make sense!
When I was rather frustrated about a particular mess one day my preschooler sang to me to take a deep breath and count to 4.
Also, I am a recent air fryer convert. It's been amazing!
Love that one...and yes! I haven't used my oven in months since getting that thing!
We wind down with Daniel nightly too! It’s part of our family routine—Daniel, story, song. My oldest is 7 and she still doesn’t want to skip a night.

Glad I wasn't the only one crying! 😂
