Dear techno sapiens, I had big plans for all that I would accomplish before my baby was born. I planned to finish a series of work projects and research papers. I planned to meticulously hand off responsibilities to the (very generous) co-workers covering for me. I planned to give my toddler plenty of time to adjust to starting preschool. I planned to clean the closets, organize the nursery, stockpile the diapers and wipes.
I've just recently welcomed a newborn into the world as well, it can certainly be disruptive to our lovely plans and routines! Congrats to you and your family.
Congratulations! My second is almost 5 months and my 2.5 year old still regularly asks me to put baby down and pick her up instead. Take a long break, you deserve it!
Congratulations!! For months, I’ve been feeling that weird (but lovely!) connection to you… you know, the type that only happens to strangers you follow on the internet 😂
My daughter is the exact same age as your oldest and we’re due with a baby boy this week. So sending you extra hugs and wishes for more magic-swaddle-voodoo sleep ♥️
Omg! Yes - I definitely feel that (strange but great) connection with all my fellow techno sapiens! That is so exciting - best of luck to you and thanks for the congratulations!
I love this post so very much!!!! I can relate on so many levels... both my babies made their debut ahead of schedule. I recall sending emails and trying to wrap up projects from my labor and delivery room (crazy, I know!). And I wouldn't trade the experience for anything!
Best wishes to you as you snuggle into life with another squish to love.
