Nothing is so dangerous as a grad student who has just learned MI. I *may or may not* have used MI strategies to get my husband to take me out for ice cream in grad school.

MI is a great technique to help clarify goals for behavior change. A word of caution: it’s not for trauma, clinical Anxiety or Depression or any severe mental health diagnosis.
