How did you evaluate the Techwise study when deciding to accept their ad? I have the impression that some companies run "studies" effectively as marketing projects, and I wouldn't want to sign my kid up for one of those. This one did reply with WCB IRB approval and a link to preregistration (https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT06664944?term=NCT06664944&rank=1) when I emailed to ask, but I realized that I'm not enough of an academic to evaluate whether the contents are a sign of real science.

Hi Jeffrey! I really appreciate this question - and may dedicate a post to this in the future. I spoke with the Aura team and reviewed all their consent materials beforehand - but in general, my thinking is that all potential participants would need to go through a full informed consent process before enrolling, so I felt confident that interested families would get all the information they need to make a decision at that point! I hope this helps!

Never skip the instructions for Legos. And just know even when you use the instructions, there will be tears. Mostly your own. 😂 My kids ultimately hated Lego sets but loved making up objects. Also, thumbs up to phignoring!
